If you or someone you care about has memory concerns, are on the Dementia Assessment Pathway, or has received a recent diagnosis of Dementia, it can feel worrying and uncertain. You don’t have to face it alone. Age UK Gloucestershire is here from the very start to help you take the next steps with confidence.

Who we support

Our free service offers tailor-made support for people aged 50+ years as well as their family members and carers. We support people:

• who are worried about their memory
• going through the Dementia assessment process
• awaiting a dementia diagnosis
• recently diagnosed with Dementia or a memory-related condition within the last 12 months
• aged 50-65 years who have been diagnosed with, or are being assessed for, Young Onset Dementia.

Our friendly team is here to offer you, your family members and carers information, advice, guidance and signposting about:

• taking the first steps towards dealing with memory issues
• understanding your diagnosis
• staying independent
• continuing to work
• looking after your health and wellbeing
• planning ahead
• exploring social care options
• finding local support that’s right for you.
