Knowing where to turn for information and advice is essential to help you navigate later life

Age UK Gloucestershire’s One Stop Information Service can provide you with a range of information to help you remain safe and independent at home, for as long as you want to, and help you make informed choices about all aspects of later life.

Our experienced, friendly advisors and volunteers can tell you about our own services or, if we are unable to provide what you’re looking for, put you in touch with the most appropriate organisation to meet your needs. We can provide you with support and information to help you lead a safe and comfortable later life, including:

  • Signposting to local organisations who can help you with queries such as local transport options and finding opportunities to make social connections in your community
  • Help to navigate the social care system including finding care and how it’s funded
  • Ensuring you have enough money, offering free benefits checks and helping you claim any benefits you may be entitled to
  • Advice on staying warm at home, home adaptations and how to prevent falls

We can arrange for you to receive a copy of our free Guide to Later Life in Gloucestershire, which contains lots of useful information about care and support and how to manage some of those changes which occur as we get older. You can read the Guide online here

Our One Stop Information Service is of course confidential, free and just a phone call away

We are open Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm
