We Are Seeking:

Innovative and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. As a trustee, you will play a critical role in steering our charity towards achieving its mission of supporting our older population in Hythe, Lyminge, Ashford, and surrounding areas. You will help shape our strategic direction, ensure we're using our resources effectively, and uphold our values and objectives.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Strategic Oversight: Participate in board meetings to make key decisions on strategy, policy, and planning. (10 per year)
  • Advocacy: Represent Age UK Hythe, Lyminge, and Ashford within your network and beyond, advocating for the needs and rights of older people.
  • Financial Stewardship: Ensure our charity's financial stability and accountability, overseeing budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks to the organisation, ensuring we operate within legal and ethical guidelines.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who:

  • Have a genuine interest in improving the lives of older people.
  • Possess strategic vision, independent judgement, and the ability to think creatively.
  • Have experience in governance, finance, fundraising, legal, HR, or any other area that could benefit our charity.
  • Are willing to commit time for board meetings and strategy sessions (10 meetings per year).
