Live Well Space in Salford

Published on 29 January 2026 04:38 PM

Critchley Community Hub in Swinton has been selected as one of Salford’s new Live Well Spaces, becoming an important part of the city’s Live Well vision.

We are delighted that Age UK Salford and Trafford will play a key role in this initiative, with Critchley Community Hub recognised as a trusted, community‑led space supporting older people to live well.

Salford CVS recently announced the organisations chosen to help bring the Live Well vision to life across the city, and we are proud that Critchley Community Hub is among them.

Live Well centre and spaces are:

  • CommUnity Little Hulton – Flagship Live Well Centre
  • The Broughton Trust – VCSE Live Well Space
  • Age UK Salford and Trafford (Critchley Hub) – VCSE Live Well Space
  • Emmaus Salford – VCSE Live Well Space

The flagship Live Well Centre and three additional Live Well Spaces will bring services closer to people, enabling easier access to advice, support and guidance in a way that helps residents to Live Well.

Critchley is a thriving social centre in Swinton and will work in partnership with the flagship centre and other Live Well spaces in Salford.

Emma Rose, Chief Executive, Age Well Salford and Trafford said: “We are looking forward to being an integral part of the Live Well programme. We hope to welcome even more local older people at Critchley. It’s a space where everyone can feel at home, meet new friends, enjoy activities that support health, happiness and connection.”
