Local businesses ride London to Brighton for Age UK Tunbridge Wells

Published on 21 August 2025 08:52 AM

We’re delighted to share that two fantastic local businesses - Beams Electrical Services and Alston Electrical Services - have joined forces to take on the iconic London to Brighton Cycle Ride in support of Age UK Tunbridge Wells.

On Sunday 14 September 2025, a team of nine riders will be swapping their toolkits for bikes as they cycle the 55-mile route from Clapham Common to Brighton seafront, including the famous climb up Ditchling Beacon.

This incredible team effort is all about raising vital funds to support older people across the Tunbridge Wells borough. Every penny raised will go directly towards our services. From delivering hot meals and running our dementia day care, to offering befriending and providing free information and advice. These services are a lifeline for many older people, especially those who may be facing loneliness, isolation, or the cost of living crisis.

A team effort for the community

The riders from Beams Electrical and Alston Electrical are committed to giving back to the community they live and work in, and we’re so grateful that they’ve chosen to support us in this way. Their dedication and teamwork reflect the spirit of community in Tunbridge Wells.

On behalf of everyone at Age UK Tunbridge Wells, thank you to Beams Electrical Services and Alston Electrical Services for taking on this challenge for us, and thank you to all who donate and support them along the way. Together, we can make sure older people in our community feel supported, valued, and never forgotten.
