The Age UK Tunbridge Wells day care service provides older people with a comfortable, safe and stimulating environment in which to spend their day.

The service also gives the most frail or vulnerable person the opportunity to socialise confidently, benefitting from social integration with like-minded individuals, whilst giving respite to carers and families.

How does the service work?

Age UK Tunbridge Wells works with each person to carry out a full assessment of the individual’s needs and preferences to ensure they get the most out of the service.

We also work closely with other care providers such as Kent Adult Social Services, and medical professionals to deliver our service as part of a wider package of care.

What features does the day centre include:

There are a wide range of features that older people benefit from when attending the Age UK Tunbridge Wells day centre:

• Refreshments served all day including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea
• Fully trained staff to assist with bathing and personal care needs
• Exercise sessions
• Art and craft sessions
• Good disabled facilities
• Hairdressing and Chiropody services also available at an extra cost (see our services for more details)
