This is a free service.

In the last year we have managed to save older people in Tunbridge Wells £861,336.

How? We offer a free and confidential information & advice service for older people, their families and carers.

Often we can feel overwhelmed especially when we need help, and sometimes we can be fearful of sharing private information. Our advisors are trained and the service is confidential and it is always your choice as to how much information you share, and how much assistance you wish to accept.

"Thank you for the help and compassion given to me with regards to filling in an Attendance Allowance form. Having done it by myself the first time and being denied, no one wanted to help until I approached Toni (Information & Advice Officer at Age UK Tunbridge Wells). She was marvellous, patient and encouraging. Please keep up the good work, it's so needed. Thanks to Toni and all your wonderful staff." - Mr & Mrs H

Help with the cost of living

It is critically important, especially for older people that homes are kept warm and comfortable as not heating your house adequately can put you at higher risk of medical issues such as heart attacks and strokes. It is equally important that we eat good nutritional meals every day, this will help to ensure you stay both well and warm during the colder months.

Through our free Information & Advice service, we can offer lots of help and support from ensuring you receive all the pension and benefits you are eligible for, that you have the right deal with your utility providers and you have the right support to help you through the winter.

Our staff are able to visit you at home and discuss, in confidence, your particular situation and advise on ways to help. We can also offer advice on simple tips to keep you physically warm and well.

Help is just a phone call away, so if you are worried and anxious, please make the most of this free service by getting in touch today.

What can we help with?

• explain what benefits are available to older people
• help check an individual's eligibility
• assist with applications
• arrange a home visit where necessary
