Do you enjoy talking to older people? Because there are many elderly people living alone who rely on our volunteer visiting service for company, someone to talk to, someone to share a cuppa with and, more importantly,SOMEONE TO LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EACH WEEK.
We now have exercise classes for older people (over 55), to help with co-ordination, mobility, strength and prevention of falls.If you know anyone who is over 55 and wants to exercise, please encourage them to visit one of our new classes in Peterborough area. They are loads of fun and reasonably priced!
Dementia Support and Activity timetable March 2014A timetable of activity from Alzheimer’s Society that includes Rotary and Sue Ryder café dates. Alzheimer’s plan to add on further new groups / activities as and when they go live with a number planned to start in April.
This winter 24,000 older people may not survive the cold weather - that's 200 deaths a day that could be prevented.Spread the Warmth is Age UK's campaign to help older people keep warm and well in winter, including free tips on health, heating and money issues.
