What is Attendance Allowance?

Attendance Allowance helps with the extra costs of personal care if you have a disability or illness and need help or supervision.

You may be eligible if you:

• Are State Pension age or over
• Have a physical or mental disability or illness
• Need help with personal care or supervision

You do not need to have a carer to claim. Attendance Allowance does not cover mobility needs.

You could also be entitled to extra Pension Credit, Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction.

How much could you receive?

You could receive £76.70 or £114.60 per week, depending on the level of care you need.
