Volunteer Manager

HOURS: Up to 18 hrs weekly
SALARY: Pro rata £26094-£29104 (£13.84 – £15.44 per hour)
OTHER TERMS: 3% Pension Contributions

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Volunteers Manager. Whilst we would love you to be experienced in the sector, an individual with outstanding organisational skills, that is a self-motivated, starter – finisher, could equally be the right person for this role.

Volunteers are at the heart of the services we provide to older people and the core purpose of this role is to lead and co-ordinate the development and delivery of Age UK Barnsley’s volunteer engagement strategy.  This will include recruitment, development and retention of volunteers to support the activities of the charity.  You will also design and implement evaluation systems to demonstrate the impact of the volunteer programme.

We are looking for someone who is passionate and caring towards the community that we serve and who is prepared to commit to the recruitment, training and development, and celebration of our wonderful volunteers but you will also have the desire to make a difference and be willing to support other managers and colleagues to make Age UK Barnsley’s services and projects core to making Barnsley the best place to Age Well.
