Men in Sheds & She Sheds is an inclusive crafting, woodworking and upcycling group open to all skill levels - whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced maker.
Based at The Hut on Summer Lane, Barnsley, our spacious workshop is fully equipped and ready for you to get hands-on, learn new skills and bring your ideas to life.
What We Offer
Our workshop includes:
- Dedicated craft and woodworking areas
- Internet access
- A wide range of tools, equipment and machinery
- CNC machine access
- Friendly, experienced volunteers on-site
Whether you’d like to learn the basics, develop existing skills, or even share your own expertise (from woodworking to IT skills), The Hut is a supportive space where everyone helps each other grow.
All of our wood is kindly donated and upcycled, and we’re fully stocked with craft supplies including paints, glue guns and more - everything you need to get creative.

We welcome anyone aged 16+ to become a member or volunteer.
