Current Vacancies:

Independent Living Support Worker

Based at: The Bradbury Independent Living Centre

Hours: 16 per week

Rate of pay: £9.49 per hr

Contact Duration: 6 months

The centre provides Daily Living Aids & equipment through the Accredited Retailer route as well as self purchase through a Trusted Assessor privately. The worker will assess clients by giving information, advice, support & demonstrations that enable the clients/customers to choose the correct equipment, relevant to their needs.

Relief Retail Support Worker

Based at: Warehouse, Bradbury Independent Living Centre, Workington

Hours: 16 per week

Rate of pay : £8.01 per Hr

Contract Duration: 6 months

The role of the Shop Manager is :
1. To oversee all aspects of running our shop(s)
2. To ensure efficient and effective management of the volunteers, premises and stock
3. To aim to meet agreed performance targets
4. To co-ordinate collection and appropriate disposal of recyclable items
5. The postholder will cover for other Shop Managers/Staff when the need arises.

The nature of this position will on occasion require the postholder to vary their hours in order to maintain the opening hours of the shop.

Helpdesk & Resource Centre Support Worker

Based at: 93 Main Street, Cockermouth

Hours: 9 per week (3 mornings)

Rate of Pay: £8.68

Contract duration: 6 months

To enable Helpdesk duties including reception duties, dealing with enquiries both on the telephone/face to face with the public and supporting other staff based at Cockermouth Office.
