The Big Knit is BACK!

We need you! Make tiny hats to help raise funds for Age UK Berkshire!

The Big Knit is a nationwide campaign to get Britain knitting (and crocheting) to raise vital funds for your local Age UK. We've partnered with Innocent smoothies to help raise money to continue our work in the local area. For every tiny hat knitted for Innocent smoothie bottles, they will donate a whopping 30p to us to help us deliver vital support and services to older people in Berkshire. 

Even if you've never knitted or crocheted before, a tiny hat is not too daunting for your first foray into woolcraft.

You can find some straightforward and easy-to-use downloadable patterns on our website but if you feel like branching out, there are even more available on the Innocent website. Why not try your hand at a lion, a shark, a postbox or even a beehive complete with flying bee?

Once you've created your lovely hats, bring them or post them to us at:

Age UK Berkshire, Unit 119 (upper level), Broad Street Mall, Reading, RG1 7QE.

We'll forward them on to Innocent. Please DON'T send your hats to Innocent or Age UK national, as Age UK Berkshire will not receive the donations if you send them direct.
