Fundraising and Grant Coordinator
Job Summary
Hours of work: 28 hours per week, days and times will vary due to fundraising events Monday to Sunday which will includes weekend working.
Annual Leave: 20 days on a pro-rata basis, plus all statutory bank holidays and one compulsory day off from Age UK Bury. In addition, we are offering 3 days paid leave for you to undertake voluntary work for a charity of your choice.
Contract: Permanent part-time 4 days a week, which includes weekend hours on an initial 6-month probationary period.
Salary: £17,778 per annum
Job Location: The Jubilee Centre, Mosley Avenue, Bury, BL9 6NJ / Hybrid working
About the Role
An exciting new opportunity - Age UK Bury is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising & Grants Coordinator to help support people 50 and over in our local community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in fundraising, charity work, or community engagement.
The Role
Working as part of our friendly team, you will help develop and support our fundraising activities and grant applications, ensuring we can continue delivering vital services for people over 50 in the borough of Bury.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning and delivery of fundraising events
- Writing and assisting with small grant applications
- Building relationships with local businesses and community groups
- Helping promote fundraising campaigns across print and digital platforms
- Providing general support to the fundraising and office team as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong communication skills
- Is well organised and able to manage a varied workload
- Has a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Is interested in fundraising, charity work, or community engagement
No formal qualifications are required – full training will be provided.
