Minibus Driver
Job Summary
Hours of Work: 16 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday, 9.00 – 11.00 am and 15.00 - 17.00 pm.
Annual Leave: To be confirmed, all statutory bank holidays and one compulsory day off from Age UK Bury.
Contract: This scheme will be on-going until we are notified the funding is no longer available.
Salary: A salary of £12.21 per hour, for approx. four hours a day, 16 hours per week.
Job Location: The Jubilee Centre, Mosley Avenue, Bury, BL9 6NJ / Hybrid working
About the Role
- We are looking for someone to drive our Minibus and help elderly people have a day out.
- Clients are picked up from their home and taken to and picked up from each social group event.
- Our scheme runs four days a week from Monday through to Thursday.
- Morning pick up and drop off from 9.00 am to 10.30 am.
- Afternoon collections from 15.30 pm to client’s home.
- Group events are held in the following locations: Monday - Bury; Tuesday - Whitefield; Wednesday - Prestwich; Thursday - Radcliffe.
- It may be necessary for you to assist clients board or exit the minibus, which has a tail lift.
- You will need a D1 Licence and DBS check will be carried out by Age UK Bury.
About You
You will be comfortable driving a minibus and communicating with people aged 65+. You will be organised and patient and also willing to help the elderly who may have some mobility difficulties.
