The Jubilee Walkers

The Jubilee Walkers meet ever Wednesday come rain or shine for a social walk of between 7.5 and 10 miles (with the occasional slightly longer one). Walks are cancelled only for severe weather or icy conditions.

We are a friendly group walking at an easy pace allowing us to take in the views and chat. We stop for a morning break (elevenses), a packed lunch and often an afternoon break.

In winter the walks are more local and on the shorter side. At other times, we travel up to around an hour away in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire. 

Good walking boots, waterproofs and a rucksack are required. All walks are risk assessed and led by registered leaders.

When travelling we car share with a voluntary petrol contribution. We meet at the Jubilee Centre between 9.15am and 9.30am for a 9.30am start.
