Social Saturdays at Newquay Day Services

We are happy to announce that Newquay Day Services will be opening every Saturday to help support even more people in Cornwall. Our team of volunteers and staff are getting ready for our first ever Saturday, on 23rd February, and will be sure to offer everyone who comes along; refreshments, a light lunch and a wonderful welcome.

Our aim is to provide a range of bespoke activities that are chosen and shaped by the people we meet and the group members we support. These activities enable people to meet with friends, try something new and achieve their goals & ambitions in later life.

Everyone needs a break or a little respite sometimes, even if it is only to do a little shopping and drop a loved one off for a few hours. At Social Saturdays, your loved one is always in safe hands and in a venue which is stimulating, comfortable and tailored to every person that walks through the door.

What we do at Newquay:
Our Day Care Services help you learn new skills, gain confidence, improve mobility and have fun with old friends and new.
There are three Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly Day Centres – St Austell, Falmouth and Newquay. We also offer Day Care Services in Truro & the surrounding areas.
Each one offers a warm welcome and a range of services, including:

A range of group and one-to-one activities
Delicious home cooked meals
Entertainment
Personal care
Trips & Excursions
Fun & Friendship
ITea & Biscuits
Age UK Memory Cafe Newquay
Knit & Natter
Happy Voices Singing Group

We can also provide transport to and from our Day Centres, and a range of activities from Knit & Natter to Art groups. Our belief is that each person must be supported to live the life they want, to the best of their abilities. Our friendly staff & volunteers are always on hand to help, assist and develop a tailored package of care to suit the needs of the individuals we support.
