Trustees' Week 2023

Published on 09 November 2023 09:12 AM

6th - 12th November is Trustees' Week.

Trustees' Week is a time to come together to celebrate he achievements of our Trustees.

Our Trustee Margaret Egrot, speaks about her time as a Trustee for Age UK C oventry and Warwickshire, "I was the CEO of a regional charity for some years and really valued the work of the trustees on my board. Applying to be a trustee with Age UK Coventry (as it was then) was a way of giving a bit back. Being a trustee is a delicate balance between taking overall responsibility for the governance of a charity, and ensuring that senior managers, staff, and volunteers have the right support for getting on with the job.
I was the chair of Age UK Coventry during a major restructure, as we merged with Age UK Warwickshire to become Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire, and co-chair, until 2021, with the Warwickshire chair during the pandemic. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but I've certainly learnt a lot during my time as a chair and as a trustee.
I am enjoying being a member of the board as we move forward, adapting and evolving to meet new challenges."

Thank you to all of Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire's Trustees for the work that they do.
