Announcing the 2026 Bee Lady Ball
As part of the official Bee Lady Day 2026 commemorations, Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire is honoured to present the first Bee Lady Ball — a distinguished evening dedicated to celebrating the life and enduring legacy of the late Jean Bishop, fondly remembered as the “Bee Lady.”
Venue: Mercure Grange Park Hotel, Willerby
Date: Friday, 15th May 2026
Time: 7:00pm – 1:00am
Guests will be welcomed with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner, live entertainment, and a programme of activities including:
- A charity raffle
- Silent auction
- Bonkers Bingo
- The presentation of the Jean Bishop Legacy Award
This black-tie event will serve not only as a heartfelt tribute to one of Hull’s most iconic community champions, but also as an opportunity to raise essential funds in support of local older people.
