Age UK Islington Get Togethers

Age UK Islington has regular weekly and monthly Get Togethers that we deliver with partners. They are a great opportunity to meet other local people and to find new interests.

Kew Gardens Trip

In the last month we had a trip to Kew Gardens for Age UK Islington clients and Islngton Carers Hub clients.

"I had a splendid day at Kew Gardens with mum. I have to give you a BIG THANK YOU..this is mum's favourite place".

Park Cuppa with British Museum

The Park Cuppa special takes place on the last Wednesday of every month at the Cally Clock Tower Centre, 11am - 12pm. This month we had a special guest from the British Museum who brought along historic musical instruments from their handling collection. Two of the attendees shared their experience of the session.

"I found it very interesting to see how humans around the world have applied diverse natural items to produce sounds to either communicate or for leisure...and enjoyed talking to some of the participants"

"The visit from the British Museum today was excellent, very interesting and informative. There was a lot of instruments to see, touch and play. All from countries all over the World with historical and cultural knowledge being given to each instrument. It really was an interesting experience."
