lets talk audience and presenters

The Let's Talk session in August provided practical tips and guidance for preventing and managing asthma, COPD and diabetes.

We had talks from Whittington Health Community Respiratory team, Dr Grace McGeoch who runs local diabetes group clinics and one of the London Met student dieticians who have been working with the Age UK Islington social prescribing team.

See below for information and resources that were shared within the session and additional guides that might be helpful.

❤️ The role of diet in reducing the risk and helping to manage diabetes

Small changes to diet can make a big difference when living with pre-diabetes or diabetes. The foods you eat not only make a difference to how you manage your diabetes, but also how you feel and how much energy you have. Paying attention to your diet can also help reduce the risk of getting diabetes.
