Menopause - Let's Talk October
Published on 02 November 2025 09:52 AM
Let's Talk in October, featured a talk provided by Val Almeida from Healthy Generations about Menopause - raising awareness of symptoms and ways to manage menopause.
This included an overview of menopause, it's many, often unrecognised symptoms and what can help.
You can see the Healthy Generations - Menopause slides.
Increasing awareness of the symptoms of menopause
As in the article with Age UK Islington's Social Prescriber, Olga Andres-Moreno, Olga observes that many women in their late 40s and 50s experience anxiety, depression, fatigue, or “brain fog” without realising that menopause may be a contributing factor.
"Gaining awareness of this connection can help women reframe their challenges, restore confidence, and take proactive steps to manage their wellbeing. With better understanding, women are more likely to seek support and explore ways to relieve or more effectively manage their symptoms."
