Published on 30 January 2026 01:39 PM

Let's Talk in January was about volunteering - the value of volunteering and how to find opportunities in Islington and Healthy Generations shared details of their activities programme.

Voluntary Action Islington spoke about the volunteering roles that they advertise on their website and the in-person support they provide to help residents to find volunteering roles that are right for them!

Many people in the audience spoke about the volunteering that they did already - at Age UK Islington, food banks, local churches and Whittington hospital - inspiring to hear!

One of the Age UK Islington volunteers spoke about the different roles that she had done at the organisation - from helping at a regular activity to making Wellbeing Calls to being a Befriender.

Healthy Generations activities

Healthy Generations shared details of their comprehensive range of creative, wellbeing and exercise classes, following a sesson on sleep techniques.

Please see the Healthy Generations website for all their classes - both online and in person - and to book.
