Quality Standards
Age UK Charity Quality Standard
We’re proud to have achieved the Age UK Charity Quality Standard, a recognition of the high standards we uphold as an organisation. This accreditation confirms that we are well-governed and effectively managed, with a clear strategic direction. It also reflects our strong commitment to the well-being and safety of Islington residents, as well as our staff and volunteers and to working in partnership with others.
Age UK Information and Advice Quality Programme
In addition to the Age UK Charity Quality Standard, Age UK Islington has also achieved the Advice Quality Standard and Age UK Information & Advice Quality Assured awards.
This demonstrates a commitment to providing high quality, consistent advice and met rigorous Advice Quality Standard (AQS) benchmarks. This quality mark assures the public that Age UK services are well-managed, provide timely and accurate information, maintain staff competency with up-to-date knowledge, and operate independently in the client's best interest.
The I&A Quality Programme has two main sets of benchmarks, and the programme requires that a service must show that it:
- Provides consistent, relevant and effective advice to clients and demonstrates this by providing sufficient information in their client records.
- Has clear and relevant systems and procedures in place to manage the delivery of consistent, good quality information and advice.
- Monitors its services and seeks feedback from clients and stakeholders.
The Standards are independently assessed by industry leaders SGS and are endorsed by the Charity Commission.
