Pay: £28,860.00-£29,822.00 per year

Hrs: 22.5hrs - 37hrs per week (full time or part time)

What We Do

AgeUK North, South & West Dorset provides a number of services across the area, including footcare in a number of locations. We provide clinics from our head office in Poundbury, Sherborne, Weymouth and seek to expand our service across North, South and West Dorset.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic full time or part time Footcare Health Practitioner to join our growing service.

As a Footcare Health Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing footcare treatments and supporting the growth of the service, increasing the help and support the Charity provides across the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial foot health assessments, enhanced treatments and basic nail care.
  • Offer preventative care, including addressing hard skin concerns and promoting overall foot health.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and a strong focus on quality treatments.
  • Maintain own skills and abilities and undertake continuous professional development.
  • Take payments for appointments following payment and cancellation policies.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and infection control measures.
  • Drive between clinic locations within North, South & West Dorset as the clinic schedule requires and run full clinics in these locations.
  • Provide information and support to clients to reduce social isolation and loneliness, fostering positive connections.
  • Adhere to Age UK NSWD policies, including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Confidentiality, and Complaints
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Candidate Criteria:

  • Full time Mon - Fri or Part Time
  • Level 4 Foot Health Professional (Diploma in Foot Health - Dip FH).
  • 1 year experience in providing footcare treatments.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
  • Highly diplomatic and discrete, with the ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance for travel to clinics.
