A 1 day course to help understand & support individuals with Dementia.

This course is designed to help awareness and equip you with practical tools and insight for supporting those with Dementia.

The course is designed for a wide range of attendees from family and friends to those working in health & social care.

- What is dementia & types of dementia
- Symptoms and behaviours associated with dementia
- Effective communication strategies when interacting with individuals living with dementia
- How it feels to live with dementia
- Recognising abilities and strengths of individuals living with dementia
- Practical approaches to support individuals in daily activities and tasks
- Importance of getting to know the individual
- Collaborative approaches to care
- Recognising and promoting wellbeing among individuals living with dementia
