Fundraising is a great way to have fun, meet new people and importantly raise funds and awareness for a local charity.  It can also raise your profile, engage with employees/members and build morale within your networks.

Whether you are involved with a school, small business, a group of friends or an individual, organising a fundraising event has never been easier.  Deborah, our Fundraising Lead can provide support and advice to ensure you are maximising the opportunity and help promote it through our social media channels.

If you're stuck for ideas, have a look at our fundraising A-Z or get your thinking cap on and get creative. Often the wackiest ideas are the most successful, but think about your own hobbies and interests for inspiration e.g. could your running club host a charity 10k.  Could your local pub host a quiz night?

Dress down days, bake sales and sponsored activities are very popular within businesses especially when linked to major events, holidays etc. and often your employer may consider matched funding!

If you would like to organise a fundraising event, please contact Deborah, our Fundraising Lead by emailing fundraising@ageukreading.org.uk for more information.
