This is a joint project between South Gloucestershire Council and Age UK South Gloucestershire to help and support homeowners whose homes have fallen into disrepair.
Improving Homes & Wellbeing
This is a project between South Gloucestershire Council and Age UK South Gloucestershire to help and support homeowners whose homes have fallen into disrepair. It provides individuals with help and support to rectify this and identifies and helps address any underlying issues.
Aims of the service:
- Work with you to identify barriers to your wellbeing, which have had a negative effect on your circumstances and led to your properties and/or land falling into disrepair.
- Support you in improving your home and rectifying issues within your home.
- Support you in maintaining the condition of your property.
- Offer broader support where appropriate - making internal and external referrals as needed.
Referrals come directly from a variety of sources within the Council. We have found that the reasons why people’s homes have fallen into disrepair are usually complex, so our specialist Project Team liaises with a number of different organisations to support you and help address the issues identified.
