LGBT+ History Month

This February is LGBT+ History month which aims to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public. https://lgbtplushistorymonth.co.uk/

We have a new service, LGBTQ+ Chats, which aims to match older LGBTQ+ residents with younger members of the community for friendly chats and, if desired, seated exercise and mindfulness. When restrictions ease, we hope to start regular events and activities.

LGBTQ+ Chats

We are offering a new service for older LGBTQ+ residents who are feeling isolated and inactive.

Our specially trained LGBTQ+ volunteers can call at a convenient time to have a friendly chat and, if you wish, talk you through some gentle exercises to promote mobility or mindfulness to promote relaxation.
All exercises have been designed by a professional trainer and are desigjned to be fun and accessible, not telephone bootcamp!

Once COVID restrictions are lifted, the volunteer will be able to introduce you to other activities in the area, such as our new LGBTQ+ coffee morning.

If you think you might benefit from an Active Chat, please contact Rebecca on rebecca.l@ageukwandsworth.org.uk or 020 8877 8940
