Dementia Services

This service costs £22 per hour and can be paid for by families, carers and friends, as well as by using Personal Budgets / Direct Payments from Adult Social Care (if available).

We offer one-to-one support for people with memory loss or dementia, and respite for carers.

How does it work?

This service is completely user-led, and individually planned and implemented according to the service user's specific needs. Although we work closely with family and carers, the focus is always on the person living with dementia and what they want to do.

Our specially-trained support workers work one-to-one with people living with dementia in their own homes, or elsewhere according to their needs, interests and ability, providing support, stimulation and continuity.

This complements, rather than replaces, services offered by other voluntary organisations, and works closely alongside NHS and other health and social care services.

Does it cover my area and how do I get started?

The service is currently focused on West Berkshire, however we may be able to offer this service in other parts of Berkshire by request.

We also run MCST Sessions for people with dementia

We were thrilled to be asked by Age UK National to share the great work we are doing here in Berkshire. This video gives great insight into the programme and how the sessions can be of benefit to those living with dementia.
