Day 1 - Big Knit target smashed!

Day 2 - Showcasing Inclusivity

Day 3 - Putting more money in your pocket

Many older people don’t claim the benefits they are entitled to. Our Help Team can ensure you don’t miss out. This year we identified an incredible total of more than £1.3m in benefits which older people in Gloucestershire could apply for. See if you can claim here >

Day 5 - Voice of Older People Gathers Momentum

Our Voice of Older People initiative to gather the views and opinions of older people across Gloucestershire on what matters to them. Our panel is now 300 strong and growing. Find out more and join our panel here >

Day 6 - New Support for people experiencing memory issues

We launched our Dementia Diagnosis and Memory Support service supporting people to take the first steps towards dealing with memory issues. A worrying time for many, our specialist Help Team Advisors are here to help. Find out more here >

Day 7 - Our Fabulous eBay Shop goes live

Selling hand-made items created by the local crafting community, our eBay shop is the place to go for cosy blankets, gloves, hats and cute children’s cardigans. Each is a one-off and could make the perfect Christmas gift. Browse our eBay shop here >

Day 8 - Highlighting a Crisis Hiding in Plain Sight

We collaborated with talented local singer-songwriter, Ellie Scrivens on her heartfelt song “Photographs in the Biscuit Tin”. The accompanying video delivers a powerful message about loneliness in our communities and how each of us can help make a difference. Watch the video here >

Day 10 - A Grand Day Out with Stagecoach West

14 lucky Age UK Gloucestershire supporters enjoyed a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham. The day wrapped up with lunch and a matinee performance, all thanks to our partners at Stagecoach West. Read More >

Day 12 - Our Showstopper Christmas Tree

We asked local crafters to create decorations for our tree at the South Cerney Festival and were thrilled to receive an array of fabulous and creative contributions. Our adorned tree shone brightly and helped raise awareness of the support we provide. Thank you, crafters!
