On the evening of April 24th, The Lechlade and District Lions Club cordially invited the community to dust off their finest period attire and step back into the golden age of variety entertainment.

Modelled on the much-loved BBC show and the classic tradition of the Music Hall, "The Good Old Days" event took place at Lechlade Memorial Hall.

The evening was packed with song, laughter, and community spirit, and raised an incredible £1,500 to support older people in Gloucestershire.

A Night of Music Hall Magic

Lechlade Memorial Hall was transformed with a vibrant red, white, and blue theme; reliving the music, fashion, and spirit of yesteryear...

The evening consisted of high-value entertainment, including:

  • A Grand Master of Ceremonies: The MC channelled the iconic spirit of Leonard Sachs, guiding attendees through the festivities.
  • Choral Classics & Singalongs: Local favourites TATT (Tunes at The Trout), the VoKaL Choir, and talented local Ukulele group.

"We wanted to create a truly special evening that brought people together," says Christine Sheldon, Fundraising Officer. "It’s the perfect mix of local talent and comedy, all while supporting Age UK Gloucestershire’s incredible work."
