The Grand Day Out!

Stagecoach West are holding a complimentary Grand Day Out to the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on Thursday 10th July 2025.
On Thursday 10th July, Stagecoach has offered people aged over 65 travelling FREE on the older persons’ concessionary travel cards, a Grand Day Out to meet new people and explore the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.
The day starts by using the concessionary travel card to journey to The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham for 10.45am. Here, the group will enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour to discover more about the theatre’s story, get a close-up look at the fully restored Frank Matcham designed auditorium, and see what a day in the life of a working theatre is like. The tour peeks into the star dressing rooms, explores the fly floor high above the stage, and discovers Cheltenham’s best-kept secret: The Irving Studio Theatre.
The tour will go into the heart of the theatre under the stage where the secret trap doors can be seen, and finally onto the Everyman Stage to look out at the beautifully restored auditorium. A light lunch will be provided before an afternoon performance called “Just Between Ourselves” and all perfectly timed to make full use of free concessionary bus travel into Cheltenham. We'll be taking some photos of the group on the day.
Places are now fully booked for the Grand Day Out on 10th July. Find out about concessionary bus travel and plan the bus journey by visiting Stagecoach West's website.
