The Lechlade and District Lions Club is cordially inviting the community to dust off their finest period attire and step back into the golden age of variety entertainment.

Modelled on the much-loved BBC show and the classic tradition of the Music Hall, "The Good Old Days" is set to be a spectacular fundraising extravaganza taking place on the evening of April 25, 2026, at the Lechlade Memorial Hall. The evening will be packed with song, laughter, and community spirit, all in aid of a fantastic cause: Age UK Gloucestershire who support older people across the county.

A Night of Music Hall Magic

Prepare for a "good old-fashioned sing song" as we transform the hall with a vibrant red, white, and blue theme. Relive the music, fashion, and spirit of yesteryear as we gather for a nostalgic celebration.

The evening promises high-value entertainment, including:

  • A Grand Master of Ceremonies: Our MC will be channelling the iconic spirit of Leonard Sachs to guide you through the festivities.
  • Choral Classics & Singalongs: Enjoy performances from local favourites TATT (Tunes at The Trout), the VoKaL Choir, and our talented local Ukulele group.

"We wanted to create a truly special evening that brought people together," says Christine Sheldon, Fundraising Officer. "It’s the perfect mix of local talent and comedy, all while supporting Age UK Gloucestershire’s incredible work."

Your Style Guide

While dressing up is optional, it adds to the magic! Whether you choose the sharp waistcoats of the Roaring 20s, the polka dots of the Fabulous 40s, or the bold patterns of the Swinging 60s, we encourage you to embrace the vintage aesthetic.

Help the Lechlade Lions support older people in our community by booking your spot now.
