A brief history of Age UK Hull

1949 Age Concern Hull (then Hull Council for Old People's Welfare) is established in Queens Gardens, Hull

1951 Moved to new premises in Lowgate, Hull

1972 Moved to larger premises in time for visit by H.R.H Duchess of Kent

1974 We celebrate our 25 Year Silver Jubilee

1984 Moved to new premises at 44 Portland Street, Hull

1999 We celebrate our 50 Year Golden Jubilee

2001 Construction of the new Healthy Living Centre is finalised

2002 On 14 January we moved into our new building, The Healthy Living Centre

2006 HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, visits the Healthy Living Centre

2010 Age Concern and Help The Aged join forces to become Age UK, and we become Age UK Hull
