The Sports Hall
The Sports Hall is used to hold most of the exercise and dance classes. These classes and groups include:
- Exercise to Music
- Fitsteps Ballroom
- Line Dancing for all levels
- Tai Chi
- Carpet Bowls
- Yoga / Pilates
The Hall, able to seat upto 140 people, is also used to hold occasional special events and concerts. For details of our fitness, dance and socials groups, give us a call or download the Activities List at the bottom of this page.
The Healthy Living Centre Gymnasium features equipment designed to help people in later life maintain a healthy level of personal fitness, well-being and mobility. The equipment includes multi gym, treadmills, cross trainer, bikes, rowers, freeweights, swiss balls and a 'Crazy Fit Power Plate'.
First time users of the Gymnasium must fill out a health questionnaire and undergo an induction session.
Booking for the Gym is required. Sessions are one hour at £3.75 or 30 minutes at £2.75, between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

The Wet Room consists of a hydropool, jacuzzi and sauna.
Hydrotherapy is the use of water in the treatment of a range of conditions, including arthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders. it differs from swimming because it involves special exercise which takes place in a warm-water pool.
You do not have to be able to swim to have hydrotherapy. The pool is quite shallow, so you can exercise well within your depth. Buoyancy aids are also available, and there will always be a qualified member of staff available to assist you. A hoist is also available for those who are unable to get into or out of the pool by themselves.
Booking for the Gym is required. Sessions are one hour at £4.25 or 30 minutes at £2.75, between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Hydrotherapy is unsuitable for certain medical conditions. If you are not sure, call to speak to one of our fitness staff, or ask your G.P.
The activities room is used to hold all of the classes and groups outside of the Sports Hall. These include:
- Tap dancing
- The craft group
- History of Hull class
- The Parkinson's group
