Every day, our volunteers give their time and effort to make a difference for older people. The roles vary across the area, with different levels of experience and involvement required. Our volunteers support the friendship services, our Activity Centre, fundraising, and events.
If you are looking for a regular commitment supporting our older community, or you have some time to give, - we can help you find the perfect role with us. Friendship Group Host
Where will I be volunteering?
Either in Boston, Bourne, or Holbeach.
What will I be doing?
We would love volunteers to join us at our fun, friendly and active friendship groups. Duties will include, tea and coffee making, greeting our group members, helping to plan and join in with lots of fun activities, collecting group fees to hand in to the Coordinator and having a good chat, while you get to know everyone!

Digital Champion
Where will I be volunteering?
Visiting clients in their home within the volunteers local community.
What will I be doing?
Supporting older people gain confidence and knowledge using the latest digital technology on a one to one basis in their home.

Befriender
Where will I be volunteering?
You will either be homebased making telephone calls; or home visiting both for around an hour a week during office hours Monday to Friday.
What will I be doing?
The aim of our friendship service is to reduce the feeling of isolation and loneliness. You will be providing 1 to 1 Befriending to an allocated person in your local area. This may be face to face, by telephone or a bit of both. Giving an older person some companionship

Technical Services Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
In the Technical Services Department in our Activities Centre at Park Street..
What will I be doing?
Assist with the telecare team, inputting customer information.
Complete telecare contracts paperwork ensuring correct serial numbers of equipment and prices are inputted correctly.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of service users.
The cleaning, control, ordering and auditing of stock.

Charity Shop Support
We have a variety of roles available in our charity shops in Boston, Louth, Spilsby and Tattershall.
These include:
General Assistant.
Preparing and sorting donations, setting up displays, serving customers, using a till and promoting our services.
Stock Handler.
For those who would like to support our charity shops behind the scenes, processing donations and preparing stock for sale. It's a good way to join the retail team who are not yet confident in serving customers..
Specialist Assistant.
Processing donations setting up items in their best light and managing stock on the shop floor to maintain interest and sales.
You will work in one of the following areas:
- Clothing and Fashion
- Jewellery and Crafting
- Homewear and Decor
- Books and Electronic Media

eBay Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
In our charity shop in Boston.
What will I be doing?
Our busy shop has lots of lovely items for sale, and we want to reach more shoppers by selling online. Unleash your creative skills by helping us to prepare stock for web based sales and promoting some of it on our social media platforms.Working with the retail team you will identify suitable items in the shop, photograph and list them online, ideally for two, four hour sessions a week
If you have sound digital retails skills and can take a good photo, you could help to raise funds and make a difference to the lives of older people in our community.

Walking Tennis Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
At Lincoln Tennis Academy, Dunholme.
What will I be doing?
Supporting our Activities Coordinator and tennis coaches with walking and seated tennis across two locations.
Setting up equipment, making and serving refreshments and clearing up afterwards and promoting fun and friendship.
