Every day, our volunteers give their time and effort to make a difference for older people. The roles vary across the area, with different levels of experience and involvement required. Our volunteers support the friendship services, our Activity Centre, fundraising, and events.
If you are looking for a regular commitment supporting our older community, or you have some time to give, - we can help you find the perfect role with us. Friendship Group Host
Where will I be volunteering?
Either in Boston or Spalding.
What will I be doing?
We would love volunteers to join us at our fun, friendly and active friendship groups. Duties will include, tea and coffee making, greeting our group members, helping to plan and join in with lots of fun activities, collecting group fees to hand in to the Coordinator and having a good chat, while you get to know everyone!

Digital Champion
Where will I be volunteering?
Visiting clients in their home within the volunteers local community.
What will I be doing?
Supporting older people gain confidence and knowledge using the latest digital technology on a one to one basis in their home.

Befriender
Where will I be volunteering?
You will either be homebased making telephone calls; or home visiting both for around an hour a week during office hours Monday to Friday.
What will I be doing?
The aim of our friendship service is to reduce the feeling of isolation and loneliness. You will be providing 1 to 1 Befriending to an allocated person in your local area. This may be face to face, by telephone or a bit of both. Giving an older person some companionship

Facilities Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
In the Facilities Department in our Activities Centre at Park Street, Lincoln.
What will I be doing?
Support with the setting up and breaking down of furniture and equipment for our wide range of activities.
When will I be required to support the team?
The Activities Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 - 4.00. Support would be needed across the week, particularly in the morning, to move furniture and various pieces of activity equipment ready for our customers to use.

Charity Shop Support
Where will I be volunteering?
Louth,Spilsby,or Tattershall
What will I be doing?
We have a variety or roles on offer;
General Assistant. - Preparing and sorting donations, setting up displays, serving customers, using a till and promoting our services.
Stock Handler. - For those who would like to support our charity shops behind the scenes, processing donations and preparing stock for sale. It's a good way to join the retail team who are not yet confident in serving customers..
Specialist Assistant. -Processing donations setting up items in their best light and managing stock on the shop floor to maintain interest and sales.

Reception Support
Where will I be volunteering?
On our reception desk in our Activities Centre in Park Street, Lincoln.
What will I be doing?
You will be the first point of contact greeting our clients and helping them with their enquires. Working alongside the Reception Team with administrative tasks such as sorting the post and inputting data onto our computer system.
When will I be required to support the team?
Friday afternoons from midday to 4pm

Walking Tennis Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
At Lincoln Tennis Academy, Dunholme.
What will I be doing?
Supporting our Activities Coordinator and tennis coaches with Walking Tennis
Setting up equipment, making and serving refreshments and clearing up afterwards and promoting fun and friendship.

Social Activities Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
At our Activity Centre in Lincoln
What will I be doing?
You will be answering customer questions about our social activities over the telephone, advising people about what we have on offer and taking bookings.
Also providing adminstrative support using our database. This role is available on Wednesdays 10am -1pm

Bingo Assistant
Where will I be volunteering?
At our Activity Centre in Lincoln
What will I be doing?
Meeting and greeting our attendees, and taking the register. Supporting the bingo caller and our members for the session.
