Age UK Barnsley hold donation drive with local schools

Published on 14 November 2023 09:00 AM

Age UK Barnsley have teamed up with Barnsley primary schools for a major donation drive to mark World Kindness Day.

The event saw children and parents bringing pre-loved goods into school to be dropped off in Age UK Barnsley Donation Stations which we then collected by the charity for sale through their Eldon Street Charity Shop.

Commenting, Age UK Barnsley Chief Executive Debby Bunn said:

“We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who got involved with our donation drive and would like to say a massive thanks to all who donated!

“As a fiercely local, independent charity we rely on the generous donations of local people – every penny that we raise goes towards supporting older people in Barnsley.

“We are looking forward to working closely with our local schools again as part of future donation appeals after the success of this first appeal.”
