Friendship and meaningful connections are key to good mental health and wellbeing. Our befriending service provides community connections for older people in Bath and North East Somerset with regular phone calls and visits.

Would you like a Befriender?

Our recent survey shows that over half of people who answered often feel lonely. We are pleased to be able to offer our Befriending Service which matches up people who might need a friend to like minded volunteers.
We find that this service often creates long lasting meaningful friendships for both people.

Could you be a Befriender?

We have found that by bringing members of our community together, they get such a buzz out of the relationship that genuine long term friendships are formed. If you want a hugely beneficial and rewarding voluntary role then look no further. You will be matched with an older person in need of a friend and have weekly calls or visits.
