Outdoor Activity Club

A social club for people over 55 to enjoy a range of outdoor activities from gentle walks to forest craft.

Every 2nd & 4th Monday each month at 10.00am - 12.00pm

Swim to the Sea - Waves 7 and 8

An opportunity for people aged 55 and over to learn how to safely swim in open water, supported by qualified trainers and lifeguards.

Wave 7

Every Thursday for 8 weeks starting from 9 June 2022.

Group 1 will run from 11am until 12pm with Group 2 following after from 12pm until 1pm.

Wave 8

Every Thursday for 8 weeks starting from 11 August 2022.

Group 1 will run from 11am until 12pm with Group 2 following after from 12pm until 1pm.

Each wave of 8 sessions is £40 including refreshments.

Seated Exercise Classes

For gentle basic seated exercises to help improve mobility, muscle strength, suppleness and posture.

Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12.30pm - 1.30pm

Exploring Memories

These group sessions are designed for older people with mild to moderate dementia and involve a range of fun and interactive activities such as games, music, art, cooking and exercise classes. As well as helping with memory and mental activity, such as thoughts, emotions and behaviour, the sessions also give older people the chance to meet and socialise with people who are also living with dementia.

The sessions, which are also known as Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, is the only non-drug treatment recommended to improve memory and thought processes, independence and well-being by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
