Volunteer Week Celebration

Age UK East Sussex Celebrate Volunteer Week, 1st June to 7th June     On Tuesday 5th June Age UK East Sussex held an afternoon tea at The Manor Barn in Bexhill to celebrate volunteer week. This was an opportunity to thank the fabulous team of volunteers and recognise the contribution they make in supporting local older people. The volunteers enjoyed tea and cake and were presented with certificates to commemorate the occasion.  Over two hundred volunteers make the work of Age UK East Sussex possible. As well as helping others volunteering is an opportunity to gain valuable skills, boost confidence and meet new people. If would like to join our fun and friendly team and help older people in your community Age UK East Sussex have a wide range of roles available which suite different people with varying skills at numerous locations.  There are opportunities working directly with older people at one of the Age UK East Sussex Day Clubs, supporting an older person after a stay in hospital or providing information and advice. If fashion, home interiors or customer service is your passion there are roles at our retail outlets throughout the county. There are office based roles in fundraising and marketing and at outside events during the summer months helping run stalls to raise money to support the vital services provided by Age UK East Sussex.
