An Evening of Clairvoyance: Enchanting evening raises vital funds for Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Last Thursday we held our latest Fundraising event, An Evening of Clairvoyance, at the Ravenmeadow Golf Centre in Worcester. The event which featured Sue Phillips, a longstanding and respected medium, was a huge success and our first sell out event. 

Anticipation and excitement had been building from the moment the event was announced and the local community was out in force for the evening. Our host venue of Ravenmeadow Golf Centre did a fabulous job supporting the event, keeping over 100 people content and happy. 

Most of the evening sparked an overriding feeling of community spirit, warmth and humour, amongst some more touching and emotional moments as well. This was one of our first major Fundraising events, and we’re delighted with how smoothly everything went when taking this into consideration.

Abi from the fundraising team was pleased with the success of the event saying, “We’re delighted with how the evening went, thank you so much to everyone who attended and made it possible. This was my first ever event at Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire and I had so much fun. The success of these events is key to improving our services for older people in the local community.” 

The proceeds of the evening will go towards helping us to fund some of our vital services and feed back into our overall work to help older people that need it most, helping to ensure Herefordshire and Worcestershire are great places to grow older. We also managed to raise additional funds through our Raffle on the night. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everybody who donated prizes for us to use. 

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who came and bought a ticket, our Fundraising team for organising the event, Sue for all of her hard work and talent and finally Ravenmeadow Golf Centre for accommodating us and making the evening so enjoyable.  

As we gain more experience in hosting and organising Fundraising events, we hope evenings like this will become more regular and even more successful. Our next event is the Christmas Shopping Experience at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre in November. The event will feature a delightful selection of heartwarming winter dishes and desserts, a complimentary welcome drink, and the backdrop of festive music; all while offering you the chance of a unique and exclusive shopping experience.
