Barry Seal, Age UK Leeds Chair of Trustees

After over six years as Chair of the Age UK Leeds Board of Trustees Dr. Barry Seal has stepped down from this position with effect from Thursday 9 April 2020.

In his time as Chair Barry has overseen the development of Age UK Leeds as an established and well respected provider of support to the older people of Leeds. In addition Barry has as a member of the national Age UK Influencing Committee advocated for and promoted the interests of older people at the highest levels.

On behalf of Age UK Leeds I would like to personally thank Barry for his commitment, passion and dedication to the Charity and in his role as Chair the support that he has provided me over the past 12 months as Chief Executive.

Unfortunately in light of current restrictions on social gatherings in the immediate short-term we will not be able to hold any form of event to formally mark Barry’s departure, however once we are through the current crisis an event to celebrate the contribution that he has made will be arranged.

Thank you Barry and best wishes from all at Age UK Leeds.

Iain Anderson
