Recognising the Contribution of Our Trustees during Trustee's Week

As Trustees’ Week draws to a close, we want to acknowledge the vital role that trustees play in the effective governance of charities across the UK.
At Age UK Lincolnshire, our trustees volunteer their time, knowledge, and experience to guide the strategic direction of the charity and ensure we continue to serve older people across the county effectively and responsibly. Their oversight helps us maintain strong governance, financial stability, and a clear focus on delivering services that improve later life in Lincolnshire.
We are pleased to welcome four new trustees; Ruth Batt, Jeremy Gibbs, Michael Moore and Michelle Webb, who bring a broad range of expertise across finance, health and social care, technology, and business development. Our new trustees join the existing five, Carol Liggins (Chair), Stewart Featherby, Kirsteen Redmile, Lisa Millington and Darren Steel, creating a fantastic team of nine who bring a wealth of experience, energy and commitment to our work.
The work of our trustees may not always be visible, but their contribution is evident in the strength and sustainability of our organisation, and in the impact of our services across Lincolnshire. Their combined skills and insight will strengthen our Board and support the ongoing development of our charity as we respond to the evolving needs of our communities.
Michele Jolly, Chief Executive of Age UK Lincolnshire, said:
“Our trustees play a crucial role in ensuring that Age UK Lincolnshire remains accountable, effective, and focused on its mission. Their collective expertise and commitment enable us to continue supporting older people and their families across the county. We extend our sincere thanks to all current and former trustees for their ongoing commitment and leadership. Their work helps ensure that Age UK Lincolnshire remains a trusted, well-governed charity, delivering positive outcomes for older people in our community.”
