Age UK Lincolnshire Celebrates Get Online Week with Digital Support Across South Lincolnshire
Age UK Lincolnshire is marking Get Online Week by helping older people build their digital confidence through a range of free support sessions across Lincolnshire.
Throughout the week, our team will be delivering digital drop-ins and training sessions designed to help people make the most of technology in their everyday lives.
Residents in Holbeach can access free digital support at the Tonic Health Hub every Tuesday, while those in Spalding can visit the Tonic Health Hub every Wednesday. The drop-ins offer friendly, one-to-one support with smartphones, tablets, laptops, the NHS App, online safety, video calling, online shopping, and much more.
We are also working closely with local GP practices, offering support with the NHS App at Heart of Lincoln Medical Group, Brant Road Surgery, and Cliff House Medical Practice, helping patients access healthcare services online with confidence.
Looking ahead, we will be launching a new free six-week Tech Together course in Bourne starting on 10 November. The course will help participants develop essential digital skills in a relaxed and supportive environment, covering topics such as staying safe online, communicating with family and friends, accessing online services, and getting the most from digital devices. Places on this course are limited, so early booking is encouraged.
Digital technology can help older people stay connected, access vital services, maintain independence, and reduce loneliness. Through our digital inclusion work, Age UK Lincolnshire is committed to ensuring that no older person is left behind in an increasingly digital world.
