Age UK Lincolnshire has been supporting people for over 65 years and continues to expand across the County to meet the rising demand for our fantastic services. We are looking for two Assistant Support Services Coordinator's to join our team and play their part in helping us fulfil our ambitious vision creating a world where older people flourish.

- 35 hours per week
- £24,687 per annum
Part Time Position
- Monday to Friday
- 09:30 to 15:00
- 27.5 hours per week
- £19,396 per annum (£24,687 FTE)

We are therefore looking for a person with demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience of working with older adults; preferably in a homecare setting and who must be committed to delivering an outstanding service.
As an office based Assistant Coordinator for Age UK Lincolnshire, you will be responsible for assisting a team of Support Services Coordinators and Managers to deliver our highly regarded and well-established Support Services across a wide geographical area of Lincolnshire & North Lincolnshire.
In this challenging, busy and highly rewarding Assistant Coordinator role, you will be a key player and integral link between clients and the services provided to them. You will take new referrals, book initial client visits, client service reviews, plan Coordinators’ diaries and be responsible for daily task and email enquiries. You will undertake various administrative tasks including assisting with coordinating the workforce of Support Workers and gardeners who work remotely in local communities Countywide.
You will be an effective communicator, adept at prioritising your workload and communicating effectively with all members of the team to ensure the smooth running of our services and the department.
The role will be both rewarding and challenging and will include but is not limited to the following:
- Be the first point of contact for the Support Services Department. Process all client referrals received into the department in a friendly, efficient and timely manner.
- Demonstrate a person-centred customer service approach by handling client calls in a proactive, caring, problem-solving way.
- Be responsible for the management of incoming task and email enquiries on a daily basis, ensuring they are actioned in a timely manner.
- Book initial client referral appointments and ongoing service reviews into Service Coordinators diaries.
- Maintain effective, timely and clear communication with clients, Service Coordinators and external agencies, to ensure smooth running of the service and to maximise time management of external diary management / appointments and client visit schedules.
- Support the department by ensuring uninterrupted service delivery for clients during planned and unplanned staff absence.
- Support the department by providing a seamless provision; managing remote workers’ rota’s in the event of planned and unplanned client visit cancellations or a change in support needs.
- Support and train remote workers in the use of our apps which are used to schedule and record client visits (no previous experience required).
Essential:
- Previous experience in a Customer Service setting
- Committed to the provision of outstanding support services for our clients.
- Evidence of using IT, common software packages (Outlook, Excel, Word,) and databases as an integral part of a role.
- This role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Scheme.
