Telecare and Maintenance Technician
Age UK Lincolnshire is an independent local charity, part of the Age UK brand partnership, supporting more than 6,000 older people every month. We have two exciting vacancies for Telecare and Maintenance Technicians who will be responsible for providing Telecare equipment installations and basic maintenance tasks within older people home’s, enabling them to remain independent at home.

- 21 hours per week, with a salary of £14,812 per annum (FTE £24,687)
- Work pattern for role one - 08:30 – 17:15 Monday and Tuesday, 08:30 – 13:00 Wednesday.
- Work pattern for role two - 08:30 – 17:15 Thursday and Friday, 08:30 – 13:00 Wednesday
- Permanent contracts
- Office based in Lincoln with county wide travel
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is required
About the role
The Telecare and Maintenance department plays an integral part in ensuring customers maintain their independence and enjoy later life.
As a Telecare and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for successfully delivering Personal alarm demonstrations, installations and servicing along with basic maintenance tasks - to enable people to remain safe and independent at home.
The post holders will have excellent customer service skills and will ensure that customers are able to access available services and equipment that will support and enhance their wellbeing.
Organisational skills are an essential attribute for this position to ensure a high quality of service delivery is achieved. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be a problem solver and have a can do attitude.
Being able to approach and resolve customer enquiries in a practical manner is essential to this role. Having a background in a semi-skilled trade would be advantageous, but not essential.
You will be expected to promote all of Age UK Lincolnshire’s services, acting as an ambassador for the organisation. Applicants must have a proactive approach, a willingness to learn and be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of our customers.
