Activities in South Manchester

Check out the range of activities we have on offer at our Crossacres Centre in Wythenshawe. 

  • Book and Jigsaw Exchange

    Are your shelves heaving under the weight of books and finished jigsaws? Then bring along your unwanted items and swap them for new ones!

  • Computer Use

    Members can access computers and the internet. Supported or guided learning sessions are also available by appointment.

  • Emporium

    Come and visit our selection of independent shops upstairs, to see the unique gifts, crafts and clothes available to buy.

  • Crossacres Stitchers

    We are a group who meet to use sewing machines to make, repair and upcycle materials new and old!

  • The Two Soups Café

    We have a lovely Café that serves cakes, soup, sandwiches and light refreshments for guests and members to enjoy, as they socialise and make new friends.

  • Craft group

    Take part in these activities or bring along your own work! Share your skills - or learn new ones, and make friends along the way.

  • Art Group

    Our art group shares skills, resoure and showcase their work, that they have created using watercolours and oils.

  • Men in Sheds

    Men in sheds is a welcoming place where you can share your skills, have a laugh and a brew - all whilst working on practical activities.

    Friday 9:30am-12:00pm

  • Crossacres Cultivators

    A mixed group that enages in gardening, shares gardening tips and experiences, whilst improving the local environment over a brew!

    Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am - 12:00pm

  • Walking Football

    Walking Football is the beautiful game played at a slower pace. These friendly, social sessions are held at Wythenshawe Forum, Simonsway, Wythenshawe M22 5RX.

Check out the range of activities we have on offer at Brunswick Village, as well as our social group for older LGBT people in the City Centre.

  • Creative Activities at Brunswick Village

    Activities include drawing, mindful colouring, card making, machine and hand embroidery, felt making - all in friendly company.

Check out the range of activities we have on offer at our charity shop at Harpurhey Shopping Centre. The shop is located across from B&M Bargains.

  • Coffee Morning

    Join us for a friendly coffee morning. Each week we’ll enjoy friendly company and a nice brew.

    Learning a new skill is good for you. Sharing your talents is even better! Come and learn new crafting skills and share yours with others.

  • Seated Exercise Session with Kathy Morrison

    Held at No. 93 on Church Lane in Harpurhey, this session includes gentle exercise, with time for a chat and brew after all your hard work.
