Are you passionate about helping older people live well, stay independent and feel connected to their communities?

Age UK Mid Mersey is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and person-centred Living Well Officer to join our team and make a real difference to the lives of older people across Halton, St Helens, Warrington and Knowsley.

You’ll be a welcoming first point of contact for older people, carers and professionals, helping individuals identify their strengths, needs and goals and supporting them to access activities, services and opportunities that improve their health and wellbeing.

You’ll also help plan, develop and deliver Living Well groups, activities and community sessions, build strong relationships with local organisations and partners, and support people to develop meaningful social connections and reduce isolation.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting older people or adults in a community, health, wellbeing or social care setting
  • Can provide person-centred support, listen effectively and help people identify and achieve positive outcomes
  • Has experience planning, facilitating or supporting groups, activities, workshops or community sessions
  • Experience of building positive relationships and confident working with community organisations, professionals and partners
  • Has excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
  • Committed to equality, dignity, and independence in later life.
  • Can travel independently across the Age UK Mid Mersey area
