Fatima is running 10k for I&A!

On Sunday 3rd May 2026 our fantastic colleague Fatima Zahira (from our At Home team) will be taking on the Birmingham 10K Great Run to raise much-needed funds to support the running costs of our free Information & Advice service.

Speaking about her upcoming challenge Fatima said,

"I work as a homeworker for Age UK North Worcestershire in the community supporting older people with their household tasks and taking the time to listen to their needs. A vital service, allowing them to remain independent in their own homes. It is a privilege to be part of their lives and brings its own rewards.

I started running shortly after having my first child and decided to combine it for raising funds for various charities since 2010. It covers my exercise quota for the week, maintains my wellbeing and raises funds for worthwhile causes!

For those who have donated in the past, will know what’s coming...I have a bottle of bubbly on ice for anyone who can guess my running time. Please have a guess to spur me on!"
